TEA to host TUSD candidate debate after endorsing two candidates

Tonight will be the first forum for the candidates running for a seat on Southern Arizona’s largest school district, TUSD. The event is hosted by the TEA, the teacher’s union and its president Jason Freed is advocating for everyone to show up and for help in “re-electing Adelita Grijalva to the Governing Board.”

So come out and learn about the candidates, but we’ve already decided who you should vote for? How’s that for a fair forum?

We are back in Metro Tucson this weekend for our unscheduled P.O.W.W.O.W. popup market(s)  from the hours of 6-9am at Medicare Health Benefits.  We would also like to thank MHB because of their sponsorship, the first 250 supporters will receive a free produce box (one produce box per supporter).  We will be back in Metro Phoenix next Saturday morning.  Shop for up to 70 lbs. of fresh nutritious rescued produce with a $12 contribution and anyone with no qualifications is welcome.  Don't forget the new produce season will start on November 3rd across the State of Arizona.

Thank you Medicare Care Health Benefits, 2716 S. 6th Ave. in Tucson for hosting this Saturday, September 29th a P.O.W.W.O.W. PopUp Market from the hours of 6-9am and sponsoring the first 250 free produce boxes (1 produce box per supporter).  Be sure to be in line bright and early as it is first come first served.  For more information, please email us.
P.O.W.W.O.W. (Unscheduled) PopUp Market(s): September and October, Hours: 6-9am
4 weeks into our P.O.W.W.O.W. PopUp Markets (UnScheduled) since September 1st and we have distributed over 56,000 lbs. of fresh rescued produce to the many communities to eat healthy.  Success!  The PopUp Markets will continue through October with the same hours of 6-9am.  With limited produce donations, our market location(s) will be posted by mid-week.  The new produce season will start on November 3rd and the schedule will be posted in October.  For more information, please email us.
